And Xaiomi launches the first notch device to the Redmi family, The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has been launched as expected. As said before the device comes with a notch, making it the first Xiaomi phone of its kind. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC with a large 4,000mAh battery and also sports a 5.84-inch (2280×1080 pixel resolution) display with 19.9 Aspect Ratio.
The device is launched with three memory configuration 3GB+, 4GB+32GB, and 4GB+64GB. Features a dual camera setup with a 12MP+5MP sensors and 5MP front camera (with HDR and AI portrait mode). Measuring 149.33×71.68×8.75mm and weighing in at 178g, the phone runs MIUI 9, packs in a large 32GB4,000mAh battery, and also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Among other features, there’s dual-SIM support, AI face unlock as a biometric security parameter (using the front camera), and a virtual assistant as well.
Colour options include Red Flame Red, Cherry blossom powder, Sand gold, Bali Blue, Black stone. As for pricing, the base version carries a price tag of CNY 999 (around $153), while the other two models 4GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB will cost you CNY 1199 (around $185) and CNY 1299 (around $200), respectively.
Pre-orders are currently live, with sales beginning June 26 onwards, this being available only in China. There’s no word yet on of if and when the device will be made available outside China.
