After being teased on the web and company founder himself showcasing press renders, the device was officially revealed at an official event.
The device has a 6.9-inches screen with FullHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Device also rocks a massive 5,500mAh battery
Most of the specs are similar to that of in the Xiaomi Note 5 since it is running the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Soc, which is an octa-core CPU at 1.8GHz. The dual camera setup on the back is also the same, the main camera is the 12MP with f/1.9 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size and dual-pixel phase detection AF and the secondary camera is a 5MP camera with f/2.0 lens for portrait shots. The front camera a is an 8MP selfie snapper.
As connectivity is concerned the device packs Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C port. There is also a 3.5 mm jack on the top.
Out of the box, the device will be powered by Android 8.1 and will have an MIUI 9.5 skin on it. The device also packs a lot of AI features like scene recognition, face unlock, better selfies and a voice assistant. The device will get the MIUI 10 update very soon and supposedly an MIUI 11 update too.
The inside may be a similar image to the Redmi Note 5 but the on the outside, the design language is a stretched version of the MI 6X. The phablet weighs221 gms and has a dimension of 176.15 x 87.4 x 7.99 mm.
The Device will be available in Black, Champagne Gold, and Blue, the Mi Max 3 will be available in two configurations – 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for CNY1,699 ($252/€220) or 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for CNY1,999 ($300/€255).
