Xiaomi’s subbrand Pocophone is in the radars for a lot of time now and it was this week when the name and SoC in their new phone were discovered in a leak. The upcoming smartphone will be called F1 and it will be powered by Snapdragon 845. The phone is also lauded to be the cheapest phone to rock a Snapdragon 845.
It’s expected to hit eastern Europe first and then hit India with a different name. The fact that it will be the cheapest phone with Snapdragon 845 will not be the key selling point of the device, according to the Bluetooth certification. In the certification, there is a lot of things that we have learned on this device, one extraordinary thing about the phone is that it will have a liquid cooled chip.
In addition to the liquid cooled chip, the specs also include at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the maxed out version to have an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rear will contain a dual camera system with 12MP 1.4μm pixels camera as the primary camera and secondary 5MP camera for depth sensing.
In the front, it will have a 20MP camera and will feature Super Pixel technology which is nothing word just a branded word for pixel binning. An infrared illuminator and an infrared camera will sit beside the camera, which will enable AI aided face unlock, one similar to the one in Xiaomi’s Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. It will be powered by MIUI 10 out of the box
