WiFi Certification Shows Samsung J5(2017) Variants To Get Android Oreo

Samsung is not the one known for giving periodic updates to its low end and budget phones. Even the major OS update would take several months or even a year, but the latest news says that the Galaxy J5 still have a ray of hope as it will be refreshed with an Android Oreo 8.0 update, yes an 8.0 update and not an 8.1 update, but the bright side is that it is getting an OREO update. The update also may include some of the latest Samsung UI 9.0 experience too.

The news is confirmed as WiFi Alliance certified a total of 13 Galaxy J5 variants as Oreo-ready. Which also indicates that Samsung is almost ready with the Oreo update for the devices. But all Samsung J5 users will not receive the update, but users with the J5 (2017) including the Pro version and also the dual-SIM version will also get the update. And this is all the certified version that will get the update definitely: SM-J530GM, SM-J530GM/DS, SM-J530F/DS, SM-J530Y/DS, SM-J530G, SM-J530S, SM-J530L, SM-J530F, SM-J530FM/DS, SM-J530K, SM-J530YM/DS and SM-J530Y.

Anyways this update could be expected to roll out very soon as the process of extensive testing of the firmware is still remaining and the WiFi certification is just a part of this huge process.
