Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Play in China for CNY 1099 and it is available for pre-order in China. The device has a water-drop styled notch and under the hood is a MediaTek P35 SoC. On the back with the gradient finish, it houses a dual-camera system.
The device will be available in Xiaomi’s offline stores from 25th of December. Xiaomi has also offered 10GB of data per month for 12 months.
The first Smartphone under the Play series has been priced for CNY 1099 which is around Rs. 11,165. The only option that the phone is available is with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone is available in three colours Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold.
The smartphone rocks an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, coupled with IMG GE8320 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. On the front is a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio with a water-drop notch. The phone runs on MIUI 10 which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.
The Dual-Camera system consists of a 12-MP primary sensor along with a f/2.2 aperture and a 2-MP secondary sensor with flash. And notch hosts an 8-MP selfie camera. Xiaomi Mi Play has an expandable memory up to 256GB via Micro-SD
And for connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. The handset packs a 3,000mAh battery and measures 147.76×71.89×7.8mm. Last but not least the phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back.
