Facebook Is Testing Dark Mode For Messenger In Selected Countries

Facebook announced that the Facebook Messenger App will get a Massive redesign update on their developers’ conference. Since then Facebook is rolling and testing out small changes to the Messenger App.

The Dark mode being tested on Messenger App was spotted by famous app teardown specialist Jane Manchun Wong, she then tweeted about the testing.

Facebook hasn’t revealed where it is currently testing the new dark mode in Messenger. The feature is available under the ‘Me’ section in Messenger if and only if your country is currently supported for the test. The warning message issued while the feature is enabled also clarifies that Facebook is still putting ‘finishing touches’ to the dark mode.

This is not the first time that Facebook has tested this dark mode for messenger, last September few users reported of getting Dark mode in their app, afterwards, the update was rolled back.

Facebook is continuously bringing changes to the Messenger UI with the aim of making it easier for users to chat and interact with the app as the part of the massive revamp which they promised to bring to the App in their F8 conference.
