The Mothership by Asus’s ROG division is all new species of a gaming laptop. It inherits the design language of a Surface Pro device but with a lot more power and possibilities.
This laptop is convertible with its keyboard coming apart from the screen same as the surface, and all of the main hardware is tucked to the back of the screen separated by an aluminium heat shield. The keyboard can be operated wireless after separating it from the screen with a push of a button or operated with a wire via USB 3 connector in the keyboard.
The laptop packs an 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processor paired with an RTX 2080. Three NVMe SSD’s in Raid 0 for ultra speed data transfers. The whole body is made up of CNC aluminium with components such as the keyboard.
And due to the placement of the hardware behind the screen, the cooling is enhanced to a greater extent as the vents are not forced against anything.
As of now the pricing, availability and the exact specifications of the device is not available. But this beat won’t be cheap.
